YES participates in the Box Tops program. We receive 10¢ for each Box Top. During the school year, a monthly contest is held for the most Box Tops collected. The winning classroom receives an ice cream treat party. Mrs. Boone's classroom won the April contest. Keep saving your Box Tops over the summer. Our contest will resume in August.
The YES Clinic is in need of gently used or new children's pants (sweatpants are great, but any pants will help) sizes medium and large. Since the colder weather is here, we also need long sleeve shirts in all children's sizes. Donations may be dropped off in the YES office.
On days of school closings and/or delays, information can be received through the following communication services:

On two hour delay days, child care is offered at Yorktown Elementary for students in kindergarten through fifth grades. Parents may drop off any K-6 student at YES's main door starting at 7:30 AM. No prior sign-up or spot reservation is necessary. Qualified school personnel will oversee supervision. The cost is $4.00 in cash upon arrival for each student using the child care. Breakfast is available for $1.50. Your child's food services account will be charged. Students may bring their own breakfast with them. In case of unforeseen school closures on days that are initially delayed, parents must pick up students by 10:00 AM or a fee of $50 will be assessed to cover the cost of staffing. Bus transportation for K-2 students will be provided to transport students to PVE at the conclusion of the delay.
